Practice updates 8/4: HEAT CANCELATION - all practices for Tuesday 8/4 have been canceled due to heat.

Hello Kern County Kits Families,

I am extremely excited to kick off our Fall 2026 soccer season! We will begin on Tuesday, August 4th at Polo Park. Our field location will be the field right on the corner of Noriega and Old Farm Road; it is the one with the field goal posts.

We have an exciting season ahead, and this email includes everything you'll need to be ready for our KC Kits Kickoff Day on August 4th!

The first week of practice will serve as our evaluation period. During this week, our coaches will evaluate players to determine team placements for the season. Everyone will be placed on a team. We will be evaluating the players so that we can level them accordingly.

First Week Practice Schedule

U8 & U10
5:00 PM – 6:15 PM

U12 & Older
6:15 PM – 7:30 PM

Beginning the second week, your practice time may change depending on the team your child is placed on. Families will be notified of team placements and updated practice times following the first week of evaluations.

Girls U8 (5:00–6:15 PM)
Girls U12 (6:15–7:30 PM)
Girls U14 (6:15-7:30)

Boys U8 (5:00–6:15 PM)
Boys U12 (6:15–7:30 PM)

Our KC Kits Families | Main Club Hub will serve as the permanent communication hub for our club. Throughout the season, we'll use it to share:

League announcements
Weather updates
Schedule changes
General reminders

After evaluations are complete, families will receive an invitation to their child's individual team BAND, where coaches will communicate team-specific information throughout the season.

What to Bring

Please send your player with:

A full water bottle
Soccer cleats
Athletic shorts
An athletic shirt

August practices can be very warm, so we will provide frequent water breaks throughout each session.

Please plan to arrive 10–15 minutes early on August 4th to allow plenty of time for check-in and to help our kickoff day run smoothly.

If the forecasted temperature reaches 103°F or higher, practices/games will be canceled for the evening. Any weather-related updates or cancellations will be communicated by 1:00 PM through the KC Kits Families | Main Club Hub BAND.

If you have received this email but have not yet completed your registration or payment for the Fall season, please do so prior to our first practice. We are still accepting registrations so if you would like to sign up for our Fall season please do so before August 4th.
